It’s that time of year again — to plan for the seasons ahead by planting seeds and getting ready to venture outdoors, dig in the dirt, raise food, and hang out with cool people.
So join us for a meeting to discuss the 2014-15 garden season at the Newtown Community Garden.
We’ll talk about:
- Plot availability and building more plots
- Minimal participation cost of $30 per garden year (and payment plans and waivers if cost is an issue).
- Participation Rules — work days, hours per month to the garden as a whole, potlucks and community events.
- Our booth at Earth Day Staunton.
- Our Open House for Sear’s Hill Bridge Day.
- Our $2,500. Lowe’s Heroes Grant.
Garden plots are available to anyone with an interest with first priority given to residents of the Newtown Neighborhood.
This meeting is free and open to the public and is held in the Staunton Public Library 2nd floor Board Room.
